Collective Compute's mission is to make robotics exciting and accessible for all, while promoting sustainability through the repurposing of existing and flexible technology.
Collective Compute is an educational resource for high-school and post-secondary students to learn robotics and hands-on technology skills. It makes robotics accessible by providing a platform for students to access interesting, community-created projects and challenges.
Collective Compute engages students, even those who wouldn't have ordinarily thought about a career in robotics, using low-cost and familiar tech. Smartphones are often seen as a negative influence, but using repurposed phones in robotics projects takes advantage of the fact that students already know how to use these devices, lowering the barrier to entry and making robotics approachable.
By complementing traditional robotics competitions and school curriculums, Collective Compute helps students build practical skills and solve exciting real-world problems in their community.
